We are happy to announce Carol Peter of Cold Nose Companions as the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2012 Business Person of the Year. Carol embodies everything you would want to see in a local business person.
Carol started Cold Nose Companions in 2009. Sometimes we forget about our four legged business community who cannot speak for themselves. After several years of providing onsite dog training, she opened her own facility in Chardon this year at 12531 GAR Highway.
Carol is a tireless volunteer at social events, business events, community events and satisfies her passion for animal welfare by volunteering at the Geauga County Dog Shelter. Carol has volunteered many hours to make sure that the Geauga Consumer Connection event continues to grow each year.
Even with a busy work schedule she shows up at every event and works behind the scenes to make sure events are successful. She continues to volunteer her time and provide donations to various organizations. Carol is a very active and dedicated board member for the Chamber of Commerce, Red Key Club and PetFix Northeast Ohio.
Carol became one of the inaugural trainers in Geauga Humane Society's Rescue Village's Homeward Bound program more than 10 years ago, which helped thousands of dogs find -- and stay in -- loving new forever homes by modifying problem behaviors.
We met Carol three years ago and continue to see her at so many events around the county helping to promote businesses throughout the county.
