The Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the recipient of the 2009 Businessperson of the Year; Debbie Mack, of Chardon. The award was presented to Ms. Mack at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner Meeting at Morgan's Place on the Square on January 26, 2010.
For the past year, Debbie Mack has been Reginal Manager and Escrow Closer for Lawyers Title Insurance Corporation located at 201 Main Street in Chardon, Ohio. Prior to this, Debbie has been and continues to be the Senior Escrow Closer, with over thirty-eight years of experience in the real estate title industry.
Debbie has been involved with the Chardon Area Chamber of Commerce and active on their Board of Directors, not missing any meetings in 2009; the Scholarship Committee; Theater Party Fundraiser; Night at the Races Fundraiser; the Golf Outing Committee; tree lighting cider/cookie committee and any other event or request the Chamber has made of her. She is an active member of the Ladies of Harley Southeast Chapter nad this year she volunteered to ship and wrap gifts for the Cleveland homelss shelter as well as assisting with their many events and fundraisers. Debbie has become involved with the Geauga County CIC and this year helped create gift baskets for their annual Business of the Year event. There are many other community events and fundraisers that she has given her time to when asked to participate in.
For all these reasons, and many more not mentioned, Karen Hewitt nominated her office manager and friend; Debbie Mack.
